You glanced nervously to the left at your best friend, Kiku Honda. "A-Are you sure we're allowed in here?" You asked, stammering over the words. Your small body was shivering in fear of the ancient, decrepit mansion looming over the two you. You had a feeling somebody was watching you. A flash of lightning illuminated the dark, cloudy sky and a loud rumble of thunder quickly followed, making you squeak in terror.
"Hai. My friends Feliciano and Ludwig live here." Kiku replied calmly, completely unfazed by the eerie creaking of the rotting wooden window shutters.
"K-Kiku, how can anybody live in that? It looks like the doorway to hell." You remarked with chattering teeth as the heavenly powers above decided to bless you with a sudden massive downpour.
"We will be dry inside. It's not so bad." Kiku answered, opening the rusted black iron gate that screeched in protest. He started down the pathway of rubble that led to the broken down mansion's ancient steel doors. You followed him nervously, not wanting to be left behind.
Kiku grabbed the giant metal knocker and let it fall back against the heavy doors with a deafening thud that echoed in the air all around you. The door slowly swung open with a creak to reveal a tall, intimidating man with harshly slicked back blonde hair and piercing blue eyes that stared into your very soul.

"Ah, Kiku. Wilkommen to our home." The man said; his deep voice heavily laced with a thick German accent.
"Arigato, Ludwig." Kiku responded, stepping carefully inside the dark mansion. You gulped down the lump of fear in your throat and took a cautious step back.
"Wer ist das Mädchen?" Ludwig asked gruffly, his knife-like blue eyes skimming over you in a scrutinizing manner.
Kiku answered, "This is my friend (F/n) (L/n)."
You swallowed the lump in your throat and stuttered, "H-hi. N-nice to meet you, Ludwig."
Ludwig merely nodded curtly, motioning with one gloved finger for you to come inside. You complied quickly; not wanting to know what would happen if you didn't.
"Where is Feliciano?" Kiku inquired as Ludwig handed both of you a warm, fuzzy towel to dry off. You took it gratefully, rubbing the water droplets out of your (h/c) hair.
"He is going to wake up soon." Ludwig stated. Why would he just be waking up? It must be nearly midnight by now. you mused, furrowing one thin eyebrow in confusion.
Ludwig had just barely finished his sentence when a cute, bubbly voice called out, "Veh~ Ludwig, I'm awake! I'm hungry, too!" The voice had a thick Italian accent that made it sound all the more charming in your ears.
"Let me guess, that's Feliciano, right?" you asked, grinning at Kiku and Ludwig.
Kiku nodded, "Hai."
The most adorable boy you had ever seen in your life came bounding down the old, creaky wooden steps two at a time.

"Kiku! You came to visit to day and brought a bella ragazza with you!" Feliciano cried, throwing his arms around your Japanese friend's neck. Kiku promptly shoved him off, muttering something about 'personal space'. The Italian stepped back, and you got a good look at him for the first time. He had ghostly pale skin that was practically pure white, and gorgeous brown eyes tinged with a dark crimson color, making an odd maroon shade. The boy had short, glossy red-brown hair with a giant curl sticking out on the left hand side. You got the strangest feeling that you'd seen him somewhere before. Feliciano was wearing a white sailor suit-style top with a blue collar, necktie, and sleeve bands. On the bottom, he sported a pair of blue shorts. It really didn't seem to suit him at all, clashing strangely with his eye and skin color. Oddly enough, the word inhuman popped into your mind when you looked at him. There was just something different about the Italian that you couldn't quite place your finger on. Something's unusual about him you thought, biting your lip. You had always been a very curious person and wanted to know what the difference was. You made a mental note to figure it out later. You also desperately wanted to tug on the curl, but restrained yourself knowing it was very rude to touch somebody you'd never even met before today.
Taking notice of you for the first time, Feliciano smiled at you sweetly and chirped, "Ciao! I'm Feliciano Vargas, but you can just call me Feli. What's your name, bella?"
"I'm (F/n) (L/n)." You replied, a light blush beginning to appear on your cheeks from his intense gaze. He was quite attractive, you observed.
"That's a beautiful name! Let's be friends~" He exclaimed, beaming widely at you, similar to a child.
"Thank you and I'd love to be your friend." You giggled, blushing harder. You froze when something caught your eye. "Feli, your teeth look…sharp." You stated, trying to get a better look at his canines. Feliciano's mouth quickly closed, and he backed away from you slowly with fear filled crimson eyes.
"No, I…" He shook his head haltingly, pale lips beginning to quiver ever so slightly. All traces of his earlier bubbliness had vanished completely.
"What's wrong, Feli? There's nothing wrong with sharp teeth. Look, I have them too!" you told him, flashing your straight pearly whites.
"Oh." The Italian sighed with relief and smiled wryly at you. "I see."
You made a mental note that it seemed strange for him to not want you to see his teeth. After all, weren't they normal?

You turned to Kiku, wondering if he had noticed anything but found only empty air where he had been standing mere minutes ago.
"Veh? Ludwig and Kiku are gone!" Feliciano remarked, his cheerful tone returning, albeit sounding a teensy bit dismayed.
"Where did they go?" You asked, starting to worry. Usually Kiku would have told you if he was going to leave. You hoped he wasn't in any kind of danger.
"I don't know, but you should stay away from me, (Name) when Ludwig or Kiku aren't around." Your new friend told you sadly, his voice becoming serious once more. He stared down at his shoes as if they had the answer to the universe.
"Why? You're so nice!" You protested, looking at him in surprise.
He lowered his maroon eyes dejectedly and replied, "I'm… dangerous to you."
You tilted your head to one side, feeling perplexed. "Why would you be dangerous to me?" You asked, wondering how such a sweet, kind guy could be a threat.
"It's…you're beautiful. And that makes me a danger to you. Believe me, bella." The Italian answered miserably, shrinking away from you.
You grabbed his wrist and gasped in shock at the icy coldness of his ghostly pale skin.
"No! Non mi toccare!" Feliciano pulled his hand out of your grip, and turned his back to you. You noticed that his shoulders were shaking a little.
"Feli, why are you...crying? What's wrong?" You asked anxiously, guilt weighing down your heart. You hadn't meant to make him unhappy.
"S-sì. Even now, I can't do anything without Ludwig or Kiku...I'm just a useless crybaby." Feliciano sniffled, wiping his eyes with one pale hand. "Without Ludwig or Kiku around, I'm afraid of myself. I don't know what I'll do. I'm so thirsty, and you look delizioso." He blurted out, and covered his traitorous lips in shock. "No I mean, I..." he broke off and ran upstairs at a superhuman speed, leaving you rooted firmly to the ground in a slight daze, frozen in surpise. The gears in your head whirled as you slowly began to piece things together. Ghostly pale skin that was icy cold to the touch. Crimson tinged eyes. Waking up at nightime. Not wanting you to see his teeth... Being a great lover of the paranormal, the only conclusion you could come up with was...vampire.
Feliciano Vargas was a vampire. Your mind reeled at the very thought, and you shuddered. Suddenly, a very vivid memory flashed into your brain.

(Flashback)
Your pink snowboots pounded against the cobblestone alleyway and your breath came out in short gasps. Little clouds of fog appeared with every breath you took as you tried to run even faster. A man with long, neck length dark brown hair and garnet colored eyes was pursuing you relentlessly, drawing closer and closer with every step that echoed in the dark alley. You skidded to an abrupt stop when you reached a thick wall made of very solid-looking red bricks. Pounding fruitlessly on it with your tiny fists, you slid down the wall, beginning to sob helplessly. The man was closing in on you, his sharp fangs bared and red eyes gleaming with thirst.
You squeezed your (e/c) eyes shut and waited for the end to come.
One second passed.
Then two.
Finally, you opened one eye cautiously and realized there was someone standing in front of you protectively with arms outstretched.
You persumed the person to be a boy, due to the masculine build and short red-brown hair with a large curl sticking out on the left. The dark haired vampire backed away, fear visible in his dark red eyes. "Vargas..." he rasped, turning even paler than he already was.
The person in front of you hissed, "Lasciatela in pace."
You recognized the language the person was speaking as Italian, and it sounded extremely comforting to your ears.
The attacker left in a hurry, and you let out a huge sigh of relief, burying your face in your hands.
Your savior turned to face you, and you noticed how captivating he was.
"Are you okay, bella?" He asked, his thickly accented voice gentle and caring.
You nodded once, gulping down a lump of fear. Even though he had rescued you, he had the same crimson eyes as your attacker. They were not filled with thirst though, but concern for you.
"Well then, I gotta go. Hasta la pasta~" His voice turned cute and bubbly as he dashed away at an ungodly speed, leaving you behind, stunned and wondering what the hell had just happened.

(End of Flashback)

"No way, Feliciano was the person who saved me that time...no wonder he looked a little familiar." You whispered in awe, (e/c) eyes wide with surprise. Running up the rotting wooden steps two at a time, you found yourself in a vast darkened hallway that smelled of blood with a series of old doors on each side.
"Which one is Feli's room?" You wondered out loud, taking a mad guess at the first one on the right. Knocking lightly on the door, you called out, "Feli, are you there?"
"No! I'm just the tomato fairy!" An Italian accented voice cried.
"No you're not. Can I come in?" you smiled despite yourself. He was just so cute.
"I...okay..." Feliciano reluctantly opened the door a crack, his pale hand still on the handle.
"Feli,  there's something I need  to ask you." You told him seriously, the smile vanishing.
"What is it?" He looked at you fearfully.
"Are you...a vampire?" You asked hesitantly. Feliciano lowered his eyes and gripped the door handle so tightly his knuckles turned nearly transleucent..
"S-sì." He finally admitted after a few moments of agonizing silence. Looking away, he begged, "Don't tell anyone! I didn't want you to know..." The Italian burst into tears and pulled you close, hugging you so tightly you could just barely breathe. "I'm scared, (Name). You'll just run away..." He pressed you against his cold chest, sobbing like a baby.
"No I won't." You interjected, returning the hug and stroking his hair comfortingly. "You're my friend. I would never do something like that."
"You...won't?" Feliciano asked, pulling away slightly to stare at you with wide maroon eyes. He was clearly unsure of whether or not he could trust you.
"I promise I won't run away." You said solemnly, looking him straight in the eye.

"Veh, I'm so happy now! Say bella, do you want some pasta?" Feliciano offered, starting to grin like a fool.
"Sure, I'd love some!" You responded with a small smile of your own, glad that he was back to being his happy self.
The Italian vampire ran off, and you followed him down the wooden stairs broken down with age.
You had never seen someone make pasta so fast in your entire life. In a matter of ten minutes, Feliciano was already adding the finishing touches to the pasta. It had an absolutely delicious aroma that left you salivating with anticipation.
"Wow, that smells so good!" You commented, looking over Feliciano's shoulder at the food.
"Veh, it's done now." He replied, spooning the heavenly smelling stuff onto two lovely china plates. He then smothered the twin heaps of pasta with a very dark red liquid you assumed to be tomato sauce.
"Mangiamo~" Feliciano grinned, showing a set of snow-white fangs that looked deadly sharp. He began shoveling down the pasta like a starving dog. The red liquid dribbled down his chin, and he giggled childishly. You smirked and reached across the table to dab at the liquid with your napkin.
"You're a messy eater." You remarked, raising an eyebrow.
The Italian just grinned blissfully at you, making your cheeks burn with embarrassment. He was just so adorable.
Looking down at your own pasta, you eagerly took a bite and immediately wrinkled your nose. The pasta had a very strange metallic taste to it. You didn't dislike it, but rather had never eaten something like it before.
"Feli, this pasta...it's not bad, but..." You began, wondering how to explain the odd taste to your new friend.
"Oh no! I put blood on your pasta too!" Feliciano wailed, tears gathering in the corners of his beautiful maroon eyes.
"Haha, just turn me into a vampire and then there won't be a problem~" You joked good-naturedly.
His eyes widened, and he a slow, joyful smile made its way across his cute ghostly white face. "That's a great idea, bella! But, are you sure about this? It's a permanent decision you know..." his voice trailed off, a hint of sadness in it.
"Aha, I was just jok-" You stopped to think for a moment. In all honesty, you had suddenly realized how much you truly liked the Italian vampire. "I...well, I guess it's okay." You added falteringly. After all, you had no family and Kiku had really been your only friend until today. What harm could being a vampire do?
Feliciano threw his arms around you joyously, yelling "Grazie!".
You blushed madly, and his face turned sober yet again. Gently brushing back your long, flowing (h/c) locks and moving them out of the way, his lips neared your (s/c) neck, only pausing once to whisper in your ear, "Are you really sure about this?".
You nodded.
The last thing you felt was something sharp piercing your neck and a painful stinging sensation  before everything went pitch black.

---Extended Ending---
Your eyes slowly opened, and Feliciano's adorable face marred by anxiety came into focus. You noticed that you were on a very soft, comfortable bed in a cold, clammy room.
"F-Feli? What happened...My head hurts like hell and my throat burns." You whispered, your voice hoarse and raspy.
"You're a vampire now, (Name)." He replied, stroking your cheek. "You need blood."
You whimpered, "But I feel so weak...how do I get blood?"
The Italian held his pale wrist over your mouth and smiled at you lovingly. "Veh, you can just drink from me for now."
You complied eagerly, licking his wrist before sinking your new fangs in. Feliciano gasped at the sensation, and started to blush wildly. Pausing your greedy guzzling for a second, you asked, "Feli...a few years ago you saved me from a vampire, didn't you?"
He looked at you in surprise and replied sadly, "I-I thought I had erased your memory of that incident...The truth is, ti amo (Name). Ever since I first saw you. When I noticed that vampire getting ready to attack, I jumped in to save you without thinking about it. I've been watching you carefully ever since to make sure you were safe."
A blush spread across your face and you stammered, "I...I think I love you too."
Feliciano looked as if Christmas had come early, and hugged you like a child would their teddy bear. You giggled, and realized that the eternity stretched out in front of you would be filled with a newfound love...all due to bloody pasta.
:iconheaddeskplz: This was such an epic fail, I am ashamed. :iconotlplz:
Oddly enough, the vampire attacking you was based on Kaname Kuran from Vampire Knight. :| I hate Kaname with a burning passion.
I'm sorry I had to slaughter Ita-chan's personality in order for him to be a vampire. I did the best I could... Please don't kill me for it. This was a request from ~Silvia-x-Gaara I hope you like it, as crappy as it is....

By the way, a good idea would be to write the history of Austria or Hungary in the form of vampires.
But important note: vampire can only be one of these two.
